Privacy policy

What we collect
- Leaderboard entries: the handle you choose, your score, the game, and a timestamp. Stored on our server.
- Rate-limit hash: your IP address is hashed with SHA-256 + a secret salt, stored only to prevent submission spam. We can't un-hash it to get your IP back.
- Local browser storage: your chosen handle and personal-best scores per game. Never sent to us; only used to save you retyping.
- Google Analytics (GA4): standard web analytics, including approximate country, browser, device type, and pages visited. GA uses cookies. IP anonymization is enabled.
What we don't collect
- No accounts, no email addresses, no names.
- No third-party ad trackers.
- No cross-site tracking.
- No data about children under 13 beyond what's above (which applies to all users equally).
Cookies
We use cookies set by Google Analytics for aggregate traffic measurement. We don't set any cookies ourselves. You can disable analytics cookies via your browser's site settings or a tracker-blocking extension, and the site will still work normally.
Affiliate links
Some "how to improve" sections link to products on Amazon. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. These links don't change prices for you. Disclosure appears on each page where such links exist.
How to delete your data
Email contact@saltnfork.com with the handle you used and we'll remove leaderboard entries tied to it within 30 days. Because we store no identifying info, we can only act on handles you tell us about.
Children
This site doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Parents can let kids play without consent concerns. Our leaderboard handle is optional and anonymous.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the "last updated" date above. Material changes will be announced on the home page.
